Toilet problems we fix
- Toilet keeps running. Water trickling into the pan usually means a worn flush valve seal. Water running from the overflow means the fill valve is not shutting off.
- Weak flush or no flush. Usually a broken button, cable or lever, or a flush valve that is not lifting fully.
- Cistern slow to refill. Usually a blocked or failing fill valve, or a partly closed isolation valve.
- Leaking between the cistern and pan. On close-coupled toilets, the rubber seal between the two has usually failed.
- Leaking at the base. Often a failed pan connector or a cracked pan.
- Blocked toilet. Cleared safely without damaging the pan.
- Loose or rocking toilet. Re-fixed and resealed to stop leaks developing.
Why a running toilet is worth fixing
A toilet that runs constantly can waste a large amount of water each day, which adds up on a water meter, and a hidden leak at the base can rot floorboards and damage the ceiling below. Most running toilets are fixed with a single replacement part.
Real jobs, real reviews
Toilet repairs are one of the jobs our customers mention most. Karen told us Gavin "came round to take a look at our leaky toilet at short notice", and Shalina said he "fixed the toilet flush issue after diagnosing the problem". Read more on our testimonials page.
