Heating emergencies we attend
- No heating or hot water during cold weather.
- A boiler leaking water or losing pressure repeatedly.
- A boiler that keeps locking out or showing error codes.
- A frozen condensate pipe stopping the boiler.
- Leaking radiators, valves or heating pipework.
Smell gas? Leave the property, do not use light switches or naked flames, turn off the gas at the meter if it is safe to do so, and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 straight away. Call us once the gas emergency service has made the supply safe.
Checks to try first
- Pressure. If the boiler gauge reads below 1 bar, re-pressurise it using the filling loop, following the boiler manual.
- Controls. Make sure the timer and thermostat are calling for heat, and replace thermostat batteries if the display is blank.
- Power. Check the boiler's fused spur switch is on and that no trip has gone at the consumer unit.
- Condensate pipe. In freezing weather, pour warm (not boiling) water over the plastic pipe outside, then reset the boiler.
If these do not work, or you are not comfortable trying them, call us on 020 4572 3451. We ask about the boiler make, model and symptoms so the engineer arrives with the right parts.
